INTERNATIONAL STUDENT TUITION FEES

Annual tuition for 2011 enrolments is $15 000 per four-term school year ($3750 per term). This fee includes extra ESOL tuition as required, and after-school subject-specific tuition.

2011 INTERNATIONAL RUGBY PROGRAMME

An additional $1000 per year or $250 per term for enrolments from 1 August 2010

ACTIVITIES FEE

Your Activities Fee is: This fee is held by the school to pay for class trips, sporting trips, cultural activities, school stationery, computer access at school, and any other school-related expenses. Any monies unspent will be refunded when the student completes his studies.

Uniform:
New and used uniforms are available from the school's uniform shop, the Sharing Shed, open in the Big Room at school on the first and third Fridays of the month from 3 - 5pm, and the last Sunday of each month, 6 - 8pm.

Cyclists:
Many students cycle to school. New or second hand bicycles are readily available. Cycle helmets are compulsory.

***Please note:
From 1 October 2010, the New Zealand government will increase the price of G.S.T. (Goods and Services Tax) from 12.5% to 15%. As a result, some prices will inevitably increase.

HEALTH AND TRAVEL INSURANCE

ELIGIBILITY FOR HEALTH SERVICES: Most international students are not entitled to publicly funded health services while in New Zealand. If you receive medical treatment during your visit, you may be liable for the full costs of that treatment. Full details on entitlements to publicly-funded health services are available through the Ministry of Health, and can be viewed on their website at http://www.moh.govt.nz/.

ACCIDENT INSURANCE: The Accident Compensation Corporation provides accident insurance for all New Zealand citizens, residents and temporary visitors to New Zealand, but you may still be liable for all other medical and related costs. Further information can be viewed on the ACC website at http://www.acc.co.nz/.

MEDICAL AND TRAVEL INSURANCE: International students must have appropriate and current medical and travel insurance while studying in New Zealand. The NZI Travelsurance policy may be arranged by the school. The annual fee is $NZ517.50. Please see the insurance policy wording document.

SHORT-TERM VISITS - SCHOOL PLUS RUGBY 2011

1. Minimum period ten weeks - One or two terms, winter only
TUITION AND RUGBY
$4000 per term

2. Less than one term (small groups only)

Normal school programme, including English and other mainstream classes 8.45am - 3.15pm
Rugby skills and coaching, skills training 3.30pm - 5.30pm

Activities after school; rugby training, fitness training, team training in winter season. May include extra activities such as attending Super 14 rugby training session/s, paintball, gondola, outings with host families

Weekend activities may include:

  • Visit to Hanmer Springs Thermal Resort - bungy jumping, jet boat rides (extra costs would apply for additional activities)
  • Visit to Akaroa, Banks Peninsula - may choose to swim with dolphins or harbour cruise (extra costs would apply for additional activities)
  • Visit to Kaikoura - Whale Watching, swimming with dolphins (extra costs would apply)

TUITION AND ACTIVITIES COST PER STUDENT:
With weekend activities $600 per week
Free weekends $500 per week

HOMESTAY COST: $220 per week
