I came to New Zealand because I like rugby, and I wanted to learn the haka and English. In New Zealand there are many parks with grass and many parks also have rugby goal posts, therefore you can often see children playing rugby in the park. Children in New Zealand are environmentally well supported. I can understand why New Zealand is a very strong rugby nation. And if you turn on the TV, you can watch club rugby, Super14 and even All Black’s match. But in Japan, it is impossible to watch world’s top rugby teams play on TV.

I can’t speak English fluently yet, but I think I have improved compared to when I first came to New Zealand. My goal is to improve my English up to where I can have a conversation with a native speaker without any hesitation.

I am studying subjects such as English, PE (Physical Education) and ODP (Outdoor Pursuits), and I was able to experience things I couldn’t experience in Japan, such as kayaking, mountain biking, rock climbing and skiing. I have never tried sports other than rugby, therefore I enjoyed every class.

I will never forget New Zealand’s friends and New Zealand rugby. I am going keep on enjoying New Zealand.
