Physics/Maths Teacher

The school has fulltime permanent vacancy for a Teacher of Physics and Maths, to start at the beginning of Term 2, 2021.

We will consider applications for a part time position in Physics and a part time position in Maths, or one full time position to cover both subjects.

Christchurch Boys’ High School (CBHS) is a Decile 10, Year 9-13 state secondary school catering for boarders and day boys.  The school is situated on a 12-hectare site west of central Christchurch and has a current roll of 1400 boys.  Established in 1881, CBHS combines sound traditions, values and a proud history with high academic achievement whilst also recognising the importance of creating well-rounded young men able to make a positive contribution to both New Zealand and our global society – ‘Developing fine young men for a modern world’.



Reporting to the Headmaster, the Head of Strategic Finance and Business is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team.  The role will lead the strategic finance, accounting, enrolment and business functions for CBHS and provide valuable financial advice and support to the Headmaster and the Board of Trustees, proactively managing the financial reporting, budgeting, cashflow and statutory requirements of the School and contributing to CBHS’s ongoing success.

You will lead the administration team, supporting the operations of the school and contributing to the culture of positivity, integrity and diversity within the school – He waka eka noa – one canoe which we are all in together.
