Hall hire and other facilities Information
The Christchurch Boys’ High School hall and other facilities are available for hire to community and commercial groups. Any group who wishes to hire the School facilities must ensure that their function and purpose of hire aligns with the values and strategic direction of the school. The Assistant Principal with responsibility for facility hire is Craig Dunnett.

The hall hire document sets out the hall hire rates along with capacity and catering requirements. Use of the School Hall will generally require a 50% deposit, unless otherwise agreed with the Assistant Principal Operations.
The CBHS facility hire document sets out the rates for other services and facilities within the school which are available for hire.
Hiring the CBHS School Hall
The Process – A ‘Hall Hire Request Form’ is to be completed and returned to the school either by post or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. On receipt, the school will assess the availability of the hall, and forward to the Senior Master for approval. Prospective clients will be advised of a decision on their request within 7 days.
Once approved, a full ‘School Hall Hire Agreement’ will be sent to the hirer for completion. This agreement includes the specific terms of the hire, and the Terms and Conditions of hire. An estimate of the cost of hire will be sent with the agreement.
Terms and Conditions
This document sets out all general terms for school hall hire. This includes (but not limited to) payment, cleaning, equipment use, cancellation and health and safety. All hirers of the school hall should be familiar with the contents of this document.
The school has preferred catering providers and all events in the school hall must be arranged directly with one of those providers. Any change must be agreed specifically with the Headmaster or Assistant Principal Operations. The contact details for all providers can be found in the Information for Users. Information about Moveable Feasts and Wigram Catering is available on their websites.
Liaison with the School
Once a request to hire has been approved, a staff member will be assigned as ‘Event Liaison’ for the event and all enquiries should be directed to this person.
