Enrolments

We welcome enrolment applications from parents both in-zone, out-of-zone and international

Christchurch Boys’ High School proudly values high academic achievement while also recognising the importance of creating well-rounded young men able to make a positive contribution to both New Zealand society and our global society.

We encourage our teachers to build positive relationships with their students, to know the academic and social needs of their students, and to show that they care about the personal and collective successes of their students.

We have close ties with our active and supportive community of parents, Old Boys and friends who contribute enormously to our success.

The staff of Christchurch Boys’ High School do have high expectations of the performance and character of all boys and understand their role in building meaningful relationships and acting as significant role models.

 

School in zone and out of zone enrolments

The Board of Trustees invites applications from parents who wish to enrol their sons at Christchurch Boys’ High School who live within the school zone to enrol at Christchurch Boys’ High School at any time. Any students who live outside of the school zone can apply and will be enrolled based on places available, and in order of priority.

 

Boarding at Adams House

Adams House is a home away from home within a five minute walk of the school.

The Hostel has modern, spacious facilities, including recreational resources, personal study rooms and ample common areas.

International Enrolments

We have students from all around the world, and we encourage our international students to live with a supportive, local homestay to further develop english language skills.

They’ll also receive at least three meals a day, laundry services, friendship, care and guidance.
