Remembering Ian Leggat – Former CBHS Headmaster (1976–1988)
Christchurch Boys’ High School remembers with great respect and gratitude former Headmaster Ian Leggat, who passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025, aged 96. Ian led CBHS from 1976 to 1988, a period marked by integrity, innovation, and a deep commitment to boys’ education. He was widely respected for his wisdom, fairness, and unwavering belief in the potential of young men.
