An exciting first day for Year 9.
On Wednesday, 5 February the Prime Minister, The Right Honourable, Christopher Luxon (an old boy of CBHS) visited School to speak to Year 9 students at Assembly, meet the Monitors and have a tour of the Main Block. The Prime Minister was accompanied by another old boy, Dr Hamish Campbell, MP for Ilam.
The boys and staff enjoyed interacting with Mr Luxon who was warm and engaging and quick to heap praise and thanks on our staff. He was excited to tour his old classrooms and recount memories, and he was particularly impressed with our new whare, Te Peka Kaurera.
The Prime Minister welcomed our Year 9 students to CBHS and the start of their secondary school journey. He spoke to them about connecting with others and having a mission and reflected on the start and advantages that CBHS had given him.
