Thank you to all families who submitted an application for Year 9 enrolment in 2027 before Friday’s closing date.
Our Enrolment Officer has now begun the process of confirming applications and preparing for the out of zone ballot, which will be held on Wednesday 29 July. Following the ballot, all applicants will be advised by email whether they have been offered a place or placed on the waitlist.
As we work through this process, we ask families to refer to the enrolment information on the school website before contacting the school with enquiries. The website includes answers to many common questions about the ballot, waitlist, in-zone enrolments and the enrolment process.
A few important reminders:

Christchurch Boys’ High School does not offer sports scholarships or preferential enrolment based on sporting ability.

Meeting with the Headmaster or providing additional supporting information does not influence ballot or waitlist outcomes.

The school has not yet made any decision regarding the availability of out of zone places for Years 10 to 13 in 2027. This will be considered later in the year once enrolment numbers are clearer.

Families who move into the school’s zone should contact the Enrolment Officer atenrolments@staff.cbhs.school.nz as soon as possible to be provided with a link to the enrolment form (which has now been taken down from the website).
