Nathan was co-opted onto the board in October 2022. He is an Old Boy of the school who is passionate about providing support and the best possible resources for the students to ensure that they are set up to succeed and are well rounded fine young men by the time they leave Straven Road to embark on their respective futures.

This includes having a significant focus on health and well-being to complement the academic, sporting and cultural pillars that lay the foundation for the development of the fine young man mission.

Nathan has a background in professional rugby coaching (as well as playing) which primarily has involved roles domestically with the Canterbury and Crusaders organisations as well as shorter term stints offshore including roles in Japan and Argentina. From this, Nathan offers team development, leadership and management skills to the Board and ultimately towards the continued growth and success of the school.

Nathan is part Cook Island Māori with Samoan bloodlines and his role on the Board provides an opportunity to connect with and support the Pacific Island and Māori community within the school.

As of 2023, both of his sons will be students at CBHS, one in Year 11 and the other in Year 9.
