A huge moment that led to a standing ovation upon returning to the accommodation was Matt Dennis winning his heat in the U18 single!

Emotions were and still are pretty raw from coming so close to the podium for so many. To come as far as they did, and to have so many boys at the top end of the field, was a real achievement. At our annual dinner with Hamilton Boys’ High School, it was noted that only two schools in the country have a crew in every 8+ A final – CBHS and HBHS.

We are incredibly proud of how these boys held themselves, and how hard they have worked.

Huge congratulations to the below boys who received the news that they have been selected for representative team trials:

U19 World Championships trial

  • Harry Galvan

U18 South Island Team trial

  • Danny Webb
  • Will Harrington
